I have modified this Rigged N Ready rig to now be suitable when used in conjunction with a RPELX Shark Deterrent System. This rig is now Rigged N Ready for RPELX, able to be clipped straight on as it has been made to RPELX specifications.  All the guesswork has been taken out for you. This Rig is somewhat sacrificial if the rig becomes snagged on the bottom, bait taken by shark, or the fish is taken by a Shark or Grouper, you just loose the rig and not the RPELX. Yet it is a strong and tough rig made to tackle large Red Emperors, Nannygai and other reef fish. We also sell wind on traces made to RPELX specifications.

A BIG RED rig for medium depth waters 30-70m.  Made for the night time fisho that can keep using the same rig over and over due to its toughness and durability. The Chaffe guard will save that leader from teeth abrasion, also adding a bit of attraction as the rig and bait descends.

A high quality, superior strength and durable single paternoster style bottom fishing rig. This rig will handle the toughest fighting BIG RED reef fish. You can haul them in on this rig as to not disrupt the electric safety barrier RPELX is providing to your catch. These hooks self-jam into the corner of the Red Emperor Jaw and stay in there. They are extremely strong and sharp.

These rigs will not twist up on fast deployment and thus aid in bait presentation. Perfect rig for Big Reds in the paddocks.

Made for Big Baits including Cuttlefish, Whole Pillys, Pilly /Squid Combos (the old cock-in-a sock), Fillet Baits and my favourite reef fish wings.

·         8/0 Mutsu circle hook with 20cm 130lb Fujiyama mono leader to hook

·         Oversize 230lb 3-Way crane Swivel crimped onto hook leader

·         Lumo Chaffe guard

·        #1 rolling swivel with 30cm of 80lb trace above the 3-way crane as per RPELX Specs to serve as a breakaway to reduce chances of losing the RPELX- You may loose the rig but keep the RPELX attached.

·        Sinker Trace knotted to breakaway lead if stuck on bottom to save rig and RPELX from total loss

Just clip it on, add a lead and your Rigged N Ready  for RPELX

All rigs are hand/bench crimped, tied and assembled by myself here in Cairns, Australia from quality components. All terminal tackle commercial grade.
