Beach Drone Fishing and Bottom Rig

200lb Japanese Fujiyama Mono with EZ Baiter Hooks and 3-Way Branch Swivels 

A rig designed for vertical bottom fishing and shallow horizontal beach/drone fishing. This rig is our heavy drone rig for Snapper and other sought after table fish, but will also handle large Gummys no problem with these EZ Baiter commercial hooks. This is a highly durable rig that will last for many uses.  Suitable for most bottom species. You can use this rig Deep Dropping as well, The 200lb mono and commercial grade EZ Baiter hooks will take on all Deep Drop species including Blue Eye Trevalla, Bar Cod, Gemfish  etc.  A great all round versatile rig to be used Droning off the beach, Bottom reef fishing and even Deep Dropping.

EZ baiter hooks have been used by the commercial sector for many years and have proved to be a worthy hook. A combination of circle hook and long shank. The secret with this hook is the line has to go thru the barbed hook side of the eye thus angling the hook slightly against the leader.  This will now allow for a near perfect hook up rate, exactly how I have rigged them. They are razor sharp hooks and will self-set into the fishes mouth. They are a commercial grade hook and extremely tough and durable.

Each critical connection point has been crimped to avoid reducing leader strength with Knots. The Branch swivel used will eliminate any twist ups and are crimped with a 1 meter spacing

Ideal baits are whole Herring, Pillys, Squid, Fish Fillets, Mullet

·        3 x 12/0 EZ Baiter Hooks 35cm Leaders

·        3 x 3-Way Branch Swivels

·        3 x Lumo Sleeve Chafe Protectors

·       Lumo Bead indicates top of rig

·       3-way Crane swivel at top of rig for attachment to line (also has line plus loop for drone attachment, if bottom fishing remove this loop)

·       80 lb  Sinker Trace knotted to breakaway lead if stuck on bottom to save rig from total loss

All rigs are tied, hand/bench crimped and assembled by myself here in Cairns, Australia from quality components. All terminal tackle is commercial grade.
