THE ULTIMATE SQUID X3 DEEP DROP RIG
12/0 SS CIRCLE HOOKS ON 300 LB JAPANESE FLUROCARBON LEADERS WITH BLUE FLASHING LIGHTS

This rig has been designed for the deep dropper with matching the hatch in mind. (See the photo of the firefly squid and deepwater squid for comparison and our inspiration.)
I have aimed to mimic the more common BLUE bioluminescence that most deep water creatures and squid emit. Moving away from the un-natural all lumo green squid creating a more realistic looking deepwater squid.

This Ultimate Squid is 15cm overall and translucent/opalescent in colour (as are many deepwater squid) with some flecks of glitter.  Adjacent to each squid is a small water activated pulsing blue light to lightly illuminate each squid. This rig also includes a larger strength strobing blue water activated light to reflect off the glitter and illuminate each ultimate squid. These 4 lights in total will gain the attention of large predator fish from afar in the deep. (No light=No bite)  The Combining of the one large and three small blue deep water strobing lights both illuminates and reflects off the squid and glitter almost perfectly imitating the deeper water squid species as pictured. Blue and Ultra violets are the deepest penetrating colors of the light spectrum in the water column. The target deepwater fish will easily see these clear Ultimate squid as they slightly fluoresce off the remaining blue and UV light that has reached the depths. 

The rig comprises of:
•    300lb Fujiyama Flur carbon hook leaders 35cm
•    300 lb Fujiyama mono backbone, 1 m between each hook is constant no matter what Rigged N Ready deep drop rig you join together
•    3 x 15cm Ultimate Squid clear/ opalescent   
•    3 x 12/0 SS Circle hooks
•    3 x Small Adjacent flashing eye blue lights , 400hrs 1000m rinse rig and lights with freshwater after use.
•    1 x Large water activated flashing blue light , 700hrs 1000m (clip on with the 2 way swivel at top of rig) Rinse rig and light with freshwater after use to save light copper from corrosion.
•    2/0 x 3/0  3-way crane swivels 300lb
•    Lumo Bead (indicates top of rig swivel)
•    400lb coast lock swivel to attach sinker or more rigs to achieve  3- 6- 9 hook rig combos
•    80lb knotted sinker breakaway to save the rig from total loss if the weight becomes stuck. 6ft

For best results add a strip of squid to each hook, and or a strip of flesh bait, and /or soak the Ultimate squids in a bucket with fresh squid. This will give your flashing Squid lure the smell and taste to attract those big deepwater predators.

These rigs are a set of 3 hooks and squid, but have been made to enable joining more rigs together via a 400lb coast lock swivel. (as are all my deep drop rigs)
